Priyanka slammed over Sikkim 'insurgency' comment, apologizes








Bollywood on-screen character Priyanka Chopra, who has created a Sikkimese film, went under assault in the wake of calling the slope state uprising beset. She has apologized to the Sikkim government, which needs another expression of remorse in more "obvious terms".

Netizens on Thursday pummeled and trolled Priyanka for being "politically ignorant" after she talked about Sikkim in a meeting, on the sidelines of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). She was talking about 'Pahuna: The Little Visitors', her Sikkimese creation which debuted at the occasion.

Sikkim Tourism Secretary C. Zangpo Bhutia stated: "We have gotten an expression of remorse note from Priyanka Chopra for her remarks, where she has composed 'I delicate a conciliatory sentiment'. Be that as it may, we are not fulfilled. We have requested that her send us another letter in more obvious terms."

Asked what the Sikkim government felt about Priyanka's remarks, he stated: "Whatever she said is absolutely inadmissible. This has discolored the picture of our state. So we requesting that her reclaim her announcement and apologize to us. Be that as it may, as we are not happy with her initially letter. We are sitting tight for a crisp note from her."

Priyanka, who now partitions her opportunity in the US and India, is yet to issue an official explanation.

Her film "Pahuna..." is around three Nepalese kids who get isolated from their folks, get away from the Maoists in Nepal and escape to Sikkim.
